These Rental Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of TrailerHire.com’s platform and the services offered, including trailer hire, skip hire, van and driver services, and driver and trailer services. By using TrailerHire.com, you agree to these Terms.
1. Governing Terms and Conditions
1.1. Your contract with TrailerHire.com (the "Rental Contract") consists of:

The Rental Agreement;
The Website Terms of Service; and
The Privacy Policy.
1.2. TrailerHire.com operates as a marketplace connecting Renters ("You") with Service Providers ("Service Providers").
1.3. The Rental Contract is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in this jurisdiction have non-exclusive authority to resolve disputes.
1.4. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other relevant UK consumer protection laws apply to this Rental Contract.
2. Role of TrailerHire.com
2.1. TrailerHire.com is a facilitator and does not own the trailers, skips, or vehicles listed on the platform.
2.2. The Service Provider is responsible for the condition, safety, and legality of the equipment or service provided.
2.3. TrailerHire.com does not provide guarantees regarding the condition or suitability of the equipment or services listed.
2.4. Some Service Providers may have additional terms and conditions, such as deposits or proof of identification, which Renters must agree to.
3. Services Offered
TrailerHire.com facilitates the rental of the following services:
Trailers: Standard trailers, specialist trailers, advertising trailers, food trailers, and enclosed trailers.
Skips: For domestic, commercial, and industrial waste management.
Van and Driver Services: Ideal for those who cannot drive, lack confidence, or need assistance with transport.
Driver and Trailer Services: For customers needing transport without towing responsibilities.
4. Booking and Use
4.1. General Booking Process
Search for the desired service by entering your location and requirements.
Submit your booking request, including dates and times.
Upon acceptance by the Service Provider, your booking will be confirmed.
Payments are processed securely through TrailerHire.com’s payment gateway.
4.2. Conditions of Use
4.2.1. Eligibility:
Renters must be at least 21 years old (75 years maximum for trailer rentals) with a valid driving licence.
Additional age or licence restrictions may apply based on the Service Provider’s terms.
4.2.2. Proper Use:
Trailers and skips must not be overloaded or used for illegal purposes.
Vans and drivers must not be used for transporting illegal goods or substances.
4.2.3. Prohibited Areas:
No towing or delivery services in flood-prone, off-road, or hazardous areas without prior approval.
4.2.4. Care of Equipment:
Renters are responsible for ensuring equipment is returned in the same condition as provided, barring reasonable wear and tear.
Any damage, loss, or theft must be reported immediately to both TrailerHire.com and the Service Provider.
4.2.5. Skip Use:
Only approved materials may be disposed of in skips. Hazardous or prohibited items must not be included.
4.2.6. Van and Driver Services:
Renters must provide accurate details of the items being transported.
Drivers reserve the right to refuse transport of items that are unsafe or exceed vehicle capacity.
4.2.7. Driver and Trailer Services:
Drivers will ensure trailers are towed safely and securely. Renters must comply with instructions regarding loading and unloading.
5. Financial Obligations
5.1. Renters must pay all applicable fees, including:
Rental charges;
Service Provider fees; and
Any additional charges (e.g., cleaning, late returns, or damage).
5.2. Payments are processed through a secure gateway. TrailerHire.com is not liable for payment disputes beyond its role as facilitator.
5.3. Late fees and penalties may apply for:
Delayed returns;
Unauthorised extensions; or
Breach of terms.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
6.1. Renters may cancel bookings prior to confirmation without penalty.
6.2. Cancellations within 24 hours of the rental start time may incur charges as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
6.3. If the Service Provider cancels the booking, TrailerHire.com will assist in finding an alternative service or provide a refund.
7. Liability
7.1. TrailerHire.com is not liable for:
The condition, safety, or legality of rented equipment;
Actions or negligence of Service Providers or Renters;
Damage to property or personal injury resulting from the use of services.
7.2. Renters and Service Providers are responsible for ensuring proper insurance coverage.
8. Reporting Issues
8.1. Renters must report any issues, including damage or disputes, to TrailerHire.com within 24 hours of occurrence.
8.2. TrailerHire.com will mediate disputes but holds no liability for resolution outcomes.
9. Data Protection
9.1. TrailerHire.com processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
9.2. Renters and Service Providers consent to the collection and use of personal data necessary for the facilitation of services.
10. Amendments
10.1. TrailerHire.com reserves the right to update these Terms. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
